### Submit your Application

**Your journey as a volunteer teacher has begun!**\
If you haven’t filled out the [Volunteer Registration Form ](https://redischool.typeform.com/dcp-application)yet, we recommend doing it now. It’s a key step in your application and we need it in order to activate your volunteer role. It also ensures you don’t miss any important information and allows us to prepare everything for your registration. *It will only take about 4 minutes.*

### Meet & Greet

This friendly 1:1 interview is part of our volunteer admission process. It helps us understand your experience, motivations, and availability, and gives you space to ask questions. We use it to check if your profile aligns with our courses needs for the upcoming semester.

### Admission

**Spring Semester Deadline:** Jan–Feb | **Fall Semester Deadline :** Jul–Aug

* We review each profile based on your interests and skills to ensure a good match with the needs of our Teaching Teams.
* Once your participation is confirmed by both parts, you’ll receive an email with your course assignment and be asked to verify your availability promptly.&#x20;
* After that, you’ll gain access to our Self-Onboarding process with all the tools and materials you’ll need.

If no spots are available, we’ll contact you for future volunteer opportunities and add you to our *Waiting List.*

### Teachers Onboarding

**When?** Once you're admitted!

The Teacher Onboarding process starts with the Self-Onboarding module, where you’ll access teaching tools, class materials, and key resources for the semester. You’ll also get a clear overview of your role and responsibilities.

To confirm your participation, you’ll be asked to electronically sign the **Volunteer Agreement,** officially joining the program and aligning expectations.

### Planning Session

**Spring Semester:** Feb | **Fall Semester:** Aug

The goal of this meeting is to review the course content and align on roles, responsibilities, and collaboration to ensure a strong learning experience for students.

* **Preparation:** Review the course content, structure, roles, and available tools in advance.
* **Availability & Role Assignment:** Share your availability as soon as you receive your admission; roles will be assigned based on interests, experience, and availability.
* **Timing:** Usually covered in one meeting, though a second session may be scheduled if needed.

### Kick-Off Preparation

**Spring:** Feb | **Fall:** Aug\
This activity takes place during the Planning Sessions

The Kick-Off is co-facilitated by the full teaching team to promote shared responsibility and early connection with students.

During the Planning Session, roles will be assigned. The Kick-Off agenda and slides are available in the Course Sheet.

**To prepare:**

* Discuss and assign roles during the Planning Session
* Sign up for in your Course Sheet
* Prepare and update your assigned segment

Pre-made materials are provided, but teachers are responsible for adapting their part and are encouraged to bring creativity and additional resources.

### Interviews / Student Screening

**Spring:** Feb–Mar  | **Fall:** Aug-Sep

Interviews are the final step in the ReDI application process. Volunteer teachers help interview applicants to assess motivation, time commitment, and course fit, and it’s also a great opportunity to get to know your potential students early on. These are informal, friendly conversations aligned with ReDI’s values of inclusivity and empowerment, with guidelines and question support provided by ReDI.

This activity takes place during the Planning Sessions

Here you’ll find materials generously shared by our trainers, who have offered their time pro bono to support the ReDI volunteer community. These resources have been thoughtfully designed and adapted to support you in your role as a teacher and as part of the teaching team. We hope you find them helpful. ### Kick-Off

This is the first time students and teachers have come together as a group!

The Kick-Off is the first session where students and teachers come together. It sets the tone for the semester by creating a welcoming environment, building trust, and introducing the learning journey.

**Focus:**

* Welcome students and build connection
* Introduce the teaching team and course structure
* Present key tools and expectations
* Establish class norms and collaboration
* Close with reflection and early feedback

### Teachers' First Impressions

**When?**  During the 3rd and 4th week of the semester

At this stage, we will reach out to gather your initial impressions of your experience as a teacher volunteer. We are interested in your feedback on the teaching team, students, ReDI team, materials, and overall organization, as well as any early ideas for improvement. Recurring topics will be discussed in more detail during the **Mid-Semester Planning Session**, together with student feedback.

### Career Services

**When?** During the semester, we'll be running Mid Semester Planning Sessions

Managed by the Talent Success Team, these activities help students explore career opportunities, connect with professionals, and build job-ready skills. Students must attend at least 2 career events per semester. Career Week features webinars, company visits, networking, and mentoring, with regular classes paused to allow teaching team touchpoints. Dates are on the course sheet.

### Mid-Semester Planning Session

**When?** Held during the same week as Career Week.

This session focuses on reflecting, planning, and preparing for the rest of the semester.

* **Feedback Session:** Review student feedback, reflect on your teaching, share suggestions, and prioritize improvements together. Celebrate successes and exchange ideas.
* **Project Phase & Demo Day:** Outline key topics, guidelines, and expectations for final projects and presentations.
* **Availability & Roles:** Confirm your availability and assign roles for upcoming sessions—please update in advance.

## 🚀 Final Project Phase & Demo Day

### Final Project Kick-Off

**When?** The date is listed on the course sheet and the session takes place toward the end of the Beginners and Intermediate courses, except for the Circles.

This phase, at the end of the Beginners and Intermediate courses, gives learners practical experience to build a strong portfolio, develop teamwork and hands-on skills, receive mentor guidance, and present their final projects—boosting confidence, collaboration, and job-readiness.

### Demo Day

**When?** The last day of the course

**🎤 Online Class Demo Day**\
An internal presentation in the final week where students showcase their projects, practice technical presentations, share lessons learned, and receive feedback in a supportive environment.

*Attendance and presentation at Class Demo Day are required to receive a certificate.*

**🎉 Demo Day Celebration**

**When?** After the last day of the course

A public event where selected teams present to the ReDI community and partners, highlighting creativity, collaboration, and excellence.

This is the final survey of the semester, where we would like to hear your thoughts after having the full experience as a teacher volunteer with us. Your feedback, ideas for improvement, and any challenges you encountered are essential to continuously improve the experience for future semesters.

### Continuation Form

**When?** Last weeks of the semester

We will send a survey to ask whether you would like to **continue as a teacher volunteer for another semester** and if you are interested in supporting ReDI in other ways, such as mentoring, trainings, supporting the teaching team, or promoting our programs. We are happy to have you remain an active part of our community. An early response of this form will support us in the recruitment process for the next semesters since we give priority to our current teachers.

### Certificate Issued

**When?** After completing teaching the semester

A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the semester, provided that you have completed at least 50% of your teaching participation, ideally having taken full ownership of at least two classes, or demonstrated exceptional commitment.

If these criteria are not met, each case will be reviewed individually; however, we trust that participants will reflect on whether requesting a certificate matches their level of commitment.
