# Backup Teacher ### Overview Backup teachers provide emergency coverage when teachers cannot attend class. No session attendance is required unless called upon. ### Substitution Process 1. Absent teacher posts in #teachers Slack channel and tags @backup teacher 2. Backup teacher confirms availability 3.
