This program is currently offered to students located in **Berlin, NRW, and Hamburg.**

*** ### **🎓 Our Learners** Our learners come from diverse backgrounds and life situations, and each semester brings a unique cohort. Last semester: * 🌍 Over **32 nationalities** * 👩‍🎓 Average age: **31** * 🎓 Backgrounds in Finance, Engineering, Biology, and more — most with at least a **bachelor’s degree** **Employment status on entry:** * 40% underemployed and transitioning careers * 35% unemployed and actively job hunting * 25% university students preparing for the job market **Why they join ReDI**\ Most learners aim to start a career in tech, but they arrive with different levels of experience, learning styles, and personal circumstances — from caring responsibilities to major life transitions. This means engagement can look different for each learner. Some are immediately active; others need more time — but **their commitment is real**. *** ### **🎓 Teachers Expectations** #### 💪 Teamwork * Teach as part of a team (6–8 teachers for regular courses, 12–15 for Bootcamps) * Communicate any schedule changes in advance * Share key takeaways after each class via Slackbot to support the next session #### 🤝 Commitments * Teach or co-teach at least **50% of sessions** (approx. **7 classes per semester**) or demonstrate exceptional impact * Take ownership of **at least two sessions per semester** for a full teaching experience * Attend planning meetings and mid-semester touchpoints, and provide course feedback * Actively support students and collaborate with the teaching team * Foster a respectful, inclusive learning environment #### 🌱 Skills & Benefits * Gain hands-on teaching and facilitation experience * Strengthen communication, teamwork, and ownership skills * Grow technically and professionally * Work in a diverse, inclusive, and mission-driven community * Access trainings, workshops, and a strong volunteer network * Adapt and improve existing teaching materials * Be part of continuous course improvement and **feel the impact of building something meaningful** * Make a real difference in learners’ career journeys! ***
