How do I choose the right course? Read the course descriptions and think about your goals. Try the Prework to get a feel for the topic. You can also ask the ReDI AI Bot for advice.
Where can I find the application and Prework? If you joined the Open Day, you’ll receive the application link by email after 2nd July. Use the same email every time you apply or contact us. The Prework is in the Applicant Hub.
Can I apply without completing the Prework? No. You must complete the Prework before you can apply.
I completed the Prework. What’s next? Thank you! Please wait. We are reviewing all applications and will email you if you are selected.
How are students selected? We look at your educational background, Prework completion, and available space in the course. We also aim for a 50% gender balance.
Can I apply if I’m under 18? No. You must be at least 18 years old to join ReDI School.
Are the courses beginner-friendly? Yes. We have beginner courses like HTML & CSS, JavaScript, Python Foundations, and UX/UI Design.
Can I take two courses at the same time? No. Each course needs about 15 hours per week. To be fair and help everyone focus, you can only join one course per semester.
Do I need to speak English well? Courses are in English, but you don’t need perfect English. Just be open to learning. Some support in German or Arabic may be available depending on your location.
What happens if I miss a class? We ask students to attend regularly. If you miss a session, speak with your teacher or team lead. Being present is important to succeed.
I live outside Berlin, NRW, or Hamburg. Can I still join? No. We only offer courses in Berlin, NRW, and Hamburg. If you live in another German city, you can check ReDI School in Munich. If you live outside Germany, please apply to the ReDI School in your country.
Can I join a course in another city if mine is full? No. You can only apply for courses in your own location.
Can I switch locations later? No. Courses are organized by location. Once accepted, you need to stay with your local program.
Are courses online or in person? Most courses are online. Some may have in-person events or sessions depending on the course and your city.
Will I be job-ready after the course? It depends on your effort. You’ll learn valuable skills, but getting a job also needs practice, networking, and motivation. Many former students succeeded by completing full tracks, joining events, meeting mentors, and staying active.
Will I get a certificate? Yes. If you attend regularly and complete the course, you will receive a ReDI School certificate.
Does ReDI offer job placement? We do not guarantee jobs, but we support you with job fairs, mentoring, community events, and connections to companies.
What support do I get during the course? You’ll learn from volunteer teachers, work in a team, and have access to mentors, community events, and learning resources.
Is the course really free? Yes. All ReDI School courses are 100% free.
How many hours per week are needed? Each course usually needs 6–10 hours per week. Some advanced courses need up to 15 hours.
Do I need a laptop or internet? Yes. Since most courses are online, you need a stable internet connection and a laptop. If you don’t have one, we may be able to help—ask your local ReDI team.
Do I need any tech background? No. Many students are beginners. Motivation and commitment are the most important things.
Will I have homework? Yes. Most courses include homework and team projects. This helps you learn better and prepare for real-world work.
